Gradient estimates for solutions to quasilinear elliptic equations with critical sobolev growth and hardy potential

This note is a continuation of the work[17].We study the following quasilinear elliptic equations(■)where 1 p N,0 ≤μ ((N-p)/p)~p and Q ∈ L~∞(R~N).Optimal asymptotic estimates on the gradient of solutions are obtained both at the origin and at the infinity.     

Analysis of an elasto-piezoelectric system of hemivariational inequalities with thermal effects

In this paper we prove the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution for a dynamic electo-viscoelastic problem that describes a contact between a body and a foundation. We assume the body is made from thermoviscoelastic material and consider nonmonotone boundary conditions for the contact. We use recent results from the theory of hemivariational inequalities and the fixed point theory.     

A Buzano type inequality for two Hermitian forms and applications

A Buzano type inequality for two nonnegative Hermitian forms is obtained. Applications to inequalities for norm and numerical radius of bounded linear operators in complex Hilbert spaces are given.

A New Variational Formulation for a Kind of Reaction-diffusion Problem in Broken Sob olev Space

In this paper, a new variational formulation for a reaction-diffusion problem in broken Sobolev space is proposed. And the new formulation in the broken Sobolev space will be proved that it is well-posed and equivalent to the standard Galerkin variational formulation. The method will be helpful to easily solve the original partial differential equation numerically. And the method is novel and interesting, which can be used to deal with some complicated problem, such as the low regularity problem, the differential-integral problem and so on.     

Confinement effects on the electronic structure of M‐shell atoms: A study with explicitly correlated wave functions

The ground and some excited states of Na and Mg atoms confined at the center of a spherical box with impenetrable walls are studied. Variational wave functions including dynamic correlations and configuration mixing have been obtained. Level crossings induced by confinement have been analyzed in terms of the energy of the occupied orbitals of the M shell and the weight of the different configurations. Confinement effects on the correlation energy have been studied. The parameterized optimized effective potential and the variational Monte Carlo methods have been employed. A cut off‐factor has been included to account for the hard wall confinement.     

Bonnesen-style Isop erimetric Inequalities of an n-simplex

In this paper, by the theory of geometric inequalities, some new Bonnesen-style isoperimetric inequalities of n-dimensional simplex are proved. In several cases, these inequalities imply characterizations of regular simplex.
